heh heh... my girlfriend likes it, though... seriously, this music is pretty "slick", but it doesn't sound like an armani fashion show to me. one of the things i like about it is the way it plays around with musical conventions - taking the production language of house and the lo-fi textures of scratchy jazz records and making something, to my ears, novel. i can see how it might make people who are used to conventions it juggles a litle uncomfortable... j on a somewhat related note, this reminds me of my friend's rant about idm... "why do we get into music in the first place? duh, to get women. after your rock set, or your 3 hours spinning house, girls are clamouring for your attention. after your idm show, what do you get? scruffy nerds who want to know what kind of midi controller that is..." ;) ;) ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
